ABERDEEN - Carla Jean Reddin Beck, 48, passed away Monday, April 12, 2010, at her home from an extended illness . 
She was born December 16, 1961, to Robert and Thelma ( Ulery ) Reddin in Frankfurt, Germany. Carla attended the first grade in Germany, where her father was stationed in the military. She attended schools in Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi and New Jersey as her father was transferred.
Carla married Larry Beck September 26, 1980, in Dover, Delaware.  
Carla served in the U.S. Air Force from 1979 to 1984, and in the U.S. Army from 1985 to 1991, when she moved to Aberdeen, Idaho, with her family to raise cattle until the time of her death.
She enjoyed gardening, fishing, reading, traveling and camping but most of all raising her children. Carla never met a stranger and loved listening to peoples' stories.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Beck, Aberdeen, Idaho; her daughter, Dr. Tiffany Beck, Pittsburg, Pa., and her son, Eric Beck, Los Angeles, Calif. She is also survived by her siblings, Sue Crawford, Louann, Ark., Roberta Johnson, Payson, Utah, Bobby Reddin, Morton, Miss.; and her Uncle Floyd Nelson Tilley, Bearden, Ark.
Per her wishes, there will be no funeral. Friends and family will gather on Saturday, April 17 at 2 p.m. at her home in Aberdeen to celebrate her vibrant life.  Arrangements are under the direction and care of Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S.
