David Wayne Jones

1955 - 2024

David Wayne Jones was born October 29, 1955 to Eva and Kenneth Jones in Oregon. He passed away at the age of 68 on July 7, 2024. He was the middle of three siblings.

David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was loved and admired by many people and brought nothing but light, happiness, and positivity to the lives of those he touched.

David spent his early years in Idaho. After graduating from Highland High School, he began working in the mining industry where he became a General Manager. He then spent several years farming, raising alfalfa hay and cattle. He eventually returned to the mining industry where he became an Executive Vice President. His work moved him all over the country and afforded him and his family the opportunity to travel the world until he finally settled down in Logan, Utah.

David enjoyed spending time in the outdoors hiking, skiing, and fishing. He also loved spending time with his family and sharing stories of his life experiences.

David is survived by his wife, Lynda; brother, Randy; sister, Belinda; sons David, Christopher, and Nic; daughter in laws, Neha and Amber; and grandchildren, Priyanka, Ryker, and Aria.

We know David is at peace now. His absence will be forever felt.

David will be cremated by Webb Funeral Home in Preston, Idaho. His ashes will be spread on Oxford Peak and a Celebration of Life will follow later this year. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at webbmortuary.com (https://webbmortuary.com/).
