David Smith Obituary
David married the love of his life Dottie Marene Smith in 1971 and brought 4 beautiful daughters into the world.
David was a man of great faith, who loved the Lord with all his heart. He was the most humble, loving, and caring husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was a devoted friend who would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He loved the outdoors and especially loved taking motorcycle trips with his brother John.
David is survived by his wife Dottie Smith; his daughters Stepheni (Chris) Rudolph, Heather (Bill) Nichols, Kimberly Smith, and Carri Smith; his 8 beautiful grandchildren Brent Bradford, Danica Bradford, Sydney Nichols, Preston Nichols (Fiance, Breeawn Clegg), Kierstin (Preston) Stoker, Alyssa Hensley, Bradon Reeder, and Emerson Reeder; his great grandchild Oliver Stoker; his brothers and sisters Don (Nichole) Smith, John (Kathy) Smith, Darrel (Julie) Smith, Joyce (John) Moropoulos, Richard (Lisa) Smith, Donna (George) Bartolome, Christine (Steven) Knouse, and many nieces and nephews.
David is preceded in death by his mother Austa Rose, father Donald James Smith, mother-in-law Mary Orchard, and his sister-in-law Sheila Meese.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 3rd 2024 at 12 PM in the Calvary Chapel of Pocatello Idaho, 1633 Olympus Drive.

One afternoon Dave and I were cutting and trimming trees and I had just bought and put on a brand new chain for the saw. We were cutting away and the saw was not cutting very well at all. After Dave saw that, he said "let´s take a look at that chain". He went and got his file and we went over by the pickup tailgate and he started sharpening the saw and explained how to do it, he also told me about the places he had worked and what he had done in the timber industry. That was the best that saw ever cut. I had a good lesson on how to sharpen a saw and got to know a little more about Dave that day.
We have had good neighbors right next door since we moved here, with Mary & Dale, and then Dave & Dottie. Dave has been a good friend, we will miss you Dave.
