Gunner Jack Wheatley
JEROME - Our sweet baby boy, Gunner Jack Wheatley, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, from complications due to a congenital heart defect. He was 6 weeks old.
Gunner was born September 19, 2010, at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls, Idaho, and was LifeFlighted September 21, 2010, to Primary Children's Hospital, where he spent the remainder of his short life.
Although his time here on earth was brief, Gunner had a remarkable impact on the people who cared for him and loved him. He had such a sweet and gentle spirit. We find comfort in knowing that his mission on earth is complete and he is in the arms of his Heavenly Father. We know we will see him again.
Gunner is survived by his loving mother, Abby Wheatley; loving father, Andrew McKay; grandparents, Farrell and Polly Wheatley, Bryan and Shawna McKay, all of Jerome; great-grandparents, Bruce and Darlene Wheatley of Robin, Idaho, John and Blanche Davis of Pocatello, Gay McKay of Twin Falls, Edie Schwisow, and Jim and Stella Davis of Jerome; and great-great grandmothers, Marie Wheatley of Robin, and Helen Price of Heyburn. Gunner is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins who love him and will miss him very much.
Gunner's family would like to give a special thank-you to all the doctors, nurses and technicians who loved and cared for him at Primary Children's Hospital and St. Luke's Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Saturday November 6, 2010, in the Jerome LDS Third Ward Chapel, 825 East Avenue B, Jerome, with Bishop Rick Geist officiating. A visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the Twin Falls Cemetery, Twin Falls, Idaho. Arrangements are under the care of Farnsworth Mortuary of Jerome.
