James Heberlein Obituary

James Brent Heberlein passed away on August 6, 2024 at his home in Vancouver, Washington from prostate cancer. Brent was born in Pocatello, Idaho on October 9, 1947 to James and Margaret Heberlein. He was 76 years old. Brent grew up in Pocatello and graduated from the Idaho State University College of Business.

In his youth, Brent participated and excelled in numerous sports. He was an outstanding baseball and football player, an avid skier that taught skiing as a blue badge certified instructor at Skyline Ski Area for several years. Brent also enjoyed both deer and pheasant hunting.

Brent's employment history ranged from a potato processing plant in Grand Forks North Dakota to managing a meat packing plant in Fort Worth Texas. He was the managing broker for a real estate company in Pocatello, training numerous successful realtors. In Vancouver, he became a home inspector and then followed up as a real estate photographer which he truly loved and was doing at the time of his death. He was always multitalented in numerous areas including carpentry, drone flying, and especially computer skills for which his family leaned on him heavily.

Brent is survived by his wife Cari of Vancouver, brothers Mike (Dorinda), Dave (Alice), cousin Denny (Sherry), nieces Jamie and Joni, nephew JD, and numerous others that will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his daughter Lacy, and parents James and Margaret Heberlein.
