Lynda Ferrin

On November 14, 2025 Blackfoot lost a devoted community member and leader, Lynda Ferrin.

Following completion of her business degree from Idaho State University, Lynda started her career supporting the continual development of Blackfoot. She was a realtor helping neighborhoods grow and develop. Lynda was twice voted Realtor of the Year by her peers. She earned her appraiser's license and established her business, Wedgewood Properties.

She was Chamber of Commerce president and received the Best Foot Forward award.

Lynda continued her community dedication by chairing the Eastern Idaho State fair parade for 11 years.

She was deeply committed to the Silver Sage Girl Scouts, acting as board member for four years. As cookie chairman, her garage was always filled with boxes of delicious cookies.

With the use of her artistic and crafting skills, she is best remembered for her annual donations of beautifully decorated Christmas trees, wreaths, and windows at the Blackfoot Christmas Tree Fantasy. These donations helped raise money for the Blackfoot hospital, various charities, and community needs

She loved golf and was president of the Ladies Golf Association.

Politics, golf, football, community service, and helping others were her passions.

Lynda was an inspiration to many others with her devoted time and talents to Blackfoot, her hometown. She was a true visionary for Blackfoot's development and growth and it is a better community for her devoted service.

The family is under the care of the Hawker Funeral Home.
