Lynda JoAnne Moon
Lynda JoAnne Moon passed away on June 7, 2016 from complications of ALS. She was the beloved wife of Dave Moon of Pocatello, Idaho. Lynda was born on July 16, 1954 in Ashton, Idaho. She was the daughter of the late Archie and Beatrice Blain.
Lynda graduated from South Fremont High School in 1972. She met and married Dave Moon on February 14, 1973 at the 2nd Ward Chapel in St. Anthony, Idaho. Lynda settled in Pocatello with Dave and was an active member in Pocatello's 41st ward. She served as Primary President, Relief Society Counselor, and Young Women's Secretary. She was a visiting teacher and loved talking with the ladies on her list. Lynda had a wonderful sense of humor that she would use to help lighten people's day. Lynda was skilled in many areas including quilting, canning, scrap booking and sewing, and freely shared her expertise. She enjoyed camping, and many times out fished Dave, much to her delight. Lynda was a skilled pianist and loved singing.
Lynda is survived by her husband, Dave Moon; five children, Tammy (Adin) Clark of Seattle, Washington, Stephanie (Jorge) Baretto, Kristy (Andres) Baretto both of San Tan Valley, Arizona, Scott (Teresa) Moon and Ryan (McKenzie) Moon both of Ogden, Utah; twenty grandchildren; her mother, Beatrice Blain; her sister, Evelyn (Micah) Strange both of St. Anthony; and her brother, David (Dixie) Blain of Idaho Falls, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her father, Archie Blain; and her brother, Jonathan Blain.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 6-8 pm at the LDS church located at 1700 Kinghorn Rd. Pocatello, ID 83202.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 11 am also at the Kinghorn church, with a viewing for one hour prior to services.

I am sending my sincere condolences to the family. May you find comfort in this thought found at Isaiah 61:1,2 which reads in part" God sent his son to bind up the brokenhearted and to comfort those who mourn."
