Nathan Schenk Obituary

Nathan passed away at his home from natural causes on September 27, 2021. On November 29, 1980 Nathan arrived and made Dee and Valerie very proud parents. Nathan was very smart and at 11 months old was able to speak his 1st sentence "this is broke". His mom had unplugged the vacuum and he soon figured out how to fix it. Nathan went to school, worked and played in the Pocatello area. He loved watching football with his dad and cheering for their favorite team the Kansas City Chiefs. Recently he has loved playing chess and poker with friends. Nathan was doing good and was working at Lamb Weston at the time of his passing.

He was preceded death by his Father Dee and his grandparents. He is survived by his mother Val, and older sister Paula, and younger sister Amanda, and a younger brother Cory (Kristy), and nieces Samantha, Alice, and nephews Justin, Benjamin, Cody. He will be missed by many loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.

Nathan was cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

The vigil held for Nathan went well. Cory & Kristy Schenk, Staci Boucher, another young lady from where Nathan use to work (Deseret Industries) along with myself, Sophie Ainsworth attended. We signed a memorable book I created, wrote messages to Nathan and presented it to Cory & Kristy Schenk.

The most amazing thing happened as we spoke of Nathan. An owl flew over us, landed on the tree that we stood by, hooted and stayed until we departed. I feel like Nathan was letting us know that he is with our Heavenly Father and is at peace. I feel that he is chilling with his father, watching over Amanda as she struggles with dealing with the circumstances surrounding his passing. I specifically asked Nathan's spirit to watch over Amanda and give her the strength she needs to move forward and continue her journey in life.

I pray for Nathan and his family. May ya'll find peace and strength to live life and fulfill your dreams. I feel like Nathan is there watching over us.

Nathan was an amazing neighbor and friend. I miss the hours we spent sitting on my couch, talking for hours. He will always be in my heart. I will never forget him.

Thank you.

I am sad to hear of Nathan's passing. He worked at Deseret Industries before going to work for Lamb Weston.
He was a really hard worker and he always tried his very best to do a good job at work. It was always nice to see him and tell him hi. He got along with everyone and it was fun to talk to him. I am glad I knew him. I am sorry for your loss. Sending hugs to all of you. Kristi
