S. Dean Durrant
POCATELLO - S. Dean Durrant, 55, of Pocatello, passed away Friday afternoon, October 29, 2010, at a local medical center.
  He was born November 12, 1954, in Jerome, Idaho, to Cecil and Alta Palmer Durrant. He attended school in Jerome and graduated from Pocatello High School.  Following his formal schooling he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Eastern States with the mission headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts. Dean worked as a mechanical designer for Engineering Systems for 42 years.
He married Darlene Beesley, August 20, 1976, in the Idaho Falls Temple. They were later divorced. He then married Lynne Jones and they were later divorced. His hobbies and interests were with motorcycles, camping at Alturas, water skiing, Temple work and music. He was very active in his Church, serving as a Counselor in the Bishopric, Scout Leader, Elders Quorum President, High Council, Counselor in the High Priests Quorum, Mission Leader and Home Teacher. Dean had a great love for his family and enjoyed serving his fellow men.
Dean is survived by his children, Dawn Buhler (Jake) , Twin Falls, Idaho; David Durrant, Twin Falls, Idaho; Derrick Durrant (Teresa), Pocatello; Dianna Brush (Brent), Pocatello; Dell Durrant, Pocatello; Denise Durrant, Twin Falls, Idaho; four grandchildren; mother, Alta Durrant Woolley of Pocatello; siblings, Tom Durrant (Bonnie), Idaho Falls, Idaho; Gordon Durrant (Colleen), Idaho Falls, Idaho; Marlene Jenks, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Larry Durrant, (Lezlie), Logan, Utah, and brother-in-law, Don Sullivan. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Durrant; sister, Anne Sullivan; and sister-in law, DeAnn Durrant. 
 Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at 12 Noon in the Valleyview Ward Chapel, 1433 Gwen Drive, Pocatello, with Bishop Dennis Winward, conducting. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 North 15th Ave., Pocatello, and one hour prior to the services at the Church on Wednesday. Interment will follow services at Mountain View Cemetery.
