Walter Allen Obituary
October 28, 1919 - May 13, 2014
Walter Burton Allen was born in Syracuse, NY and passed away at age 94 in Phoenix, AZ. One of the seven children of long time Pocatello residents Catherine and Everett H. Allen, he graduated from Pocatello High School and married Pocatello native, Margie Hemming.
Walter worked locally at the Naval Ordnance Plant until 1959, then Aerojet in Sacramento, CA until he retired. They resided most of their married life in Sacramento. He was predeceased by Margie, his wife of 60 years and their infant daughter, Patricia. He is survived by his children Dennis (Sandra) of San Mateo, CA; Edward (Nancy) of Australia; John (Laurel) of Carlsbad, CA; Julie (William Craycroft) of Copper Canyon, TX; two sisters, Edna Pellum and Grace Schmitt both of Salt Lake City; and his cherished granddaughter, Melissa (Robert) Haun and great grandsons, Cooper and Reid Haun of Highland Village, Texas. No services at his request.
