Walter Pankau Obituary
Dave was born February 20, 1937 in Cheyenne, WY to Walter Pankau and Ruth Burnett Pankau. Dave attended schools and graduated from St. Mary's High School in Cheyenne.
On May 3, 1958, Dave married Susanne Maurine Tibbetts in Cheyenne.
Dave made his career with the Union Pacific Railroad working in various positions before retiring after 47 years. Dave enjoyed going to the gym and was a member of the Metro Health Spa. Where he lovingly earned the nickname, "Super Dave".
Dave is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Susanne Pankau of Pocatello; children, Kathy Pankau of Boise, Bob (Lisa) Pankau of Grand Junction, CO, and William (Rebecca) Pankau of Draper, UT; he is also survived by his grandchildren, Sean, Brandon, Tylor, Marcus, Derek, Jared, Tyler, Zach, Kellan, Octavia, Arolyn, and Annabelle; and 7 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, and grandson, Taliesin.

I met Dave at an aerobics class at Metro many years ago. Several in the class called him "Super Dave", which at first I didn´t understand why. But, as I became to know him, I understood that Dave was "Super Dave" in every aspect of a damn decent, kind, and fun human being. I will miss "Super Dave" forever, there will never be another worthy of the title!!

Dave came to my aerobics class for 21 years. He made class so much fun. He started calling us aerobic animals and I made tee shirts for all my "animals ". We would have extra fun on Fridays with an adult beverage. He was one of the best people I have ever met in my life. Loved him so much. We would always have football bets and made so many memories. I will miss him. Kristie.

`Super Dave´ was such a great man, I met Dave when I started working at Metro Health Spa in 1991. He was one of the first people to welcome me there. When I started to teach Spin classes, he would come to my classes! Dave will be missed by everyone. My condolences to Dave´s Family.

David was a great guy and always ran into him at Freddy's Grocery Store, where we would visit. We worked in California together with Luis Pallachek and many others. And share memories, fifty years past. I shared this earlier but not sure if I did it properly. So my condolences to all.

We worked in Los Angeles, many years ago. Was great to see him at Freddy's Grocery Store and visit about old times and friends we shared. I will miss those times. Orlando aka OJ Bejarano. Condolences to all those that shared those Memories.
