Wendy Foss
MONTPELIER - Wendy Foss, 55, passed away at Portnuef Medical Center on March 4, 2011, surrounded by family. She was born on July 13, 1955 to Marian Lyon and Kenneth Foss. She grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Bear Lake High School. After a brief marriage Wendy gave birth to ChiVon.
Wendy worked many jobs, from cleaning at the 3 Sisters hotel, and Butch Cassisy's, and the hitching post, to working in retail at Kings and IGA. She also worked for the News Examiner, but her favorite job was at the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital.
Wendy had many hobbies from playing Volleyball and shopping, but most of all she loved being a grandmother, and spending time with her daughter and grandson.
Wendy is survived by her daughter ChiVon (Lindon) Transtrum of St. Charles, grandson Chazz K. A. of St. Charles and one grandchild on the way, Mother Marian Foss of Montpelier, sisters; Tonya Foss of Montpelier, Vicki (Ed) Saxton of Layton, Utah, and Mel (Derik) West of Logan, Utah. Aunt Glenna Smith of Pocatello, Idaho, and 6 Uncles and 5 other aunts, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Father Kenneth and both Maternal and Paternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at noon in the Montpelier 3rd Ward LDS Chapel. Friends may call prior to services from 10 to 11:45 a.m.. Interment will be in the Georgetown City Cemetery.
The Family has asked that in lieu of flowers that donations be made at Ireland Bank at the Wendy Foss Trust.
