Anthony Shewmaker Obituary

Anthony Shewmaker
January 31, 1976 - January 2, 2022
Boise, Idaho - Anthony "Tony" Shewmaker, 45, of Boise, Idaho, passed away Sunday, Jan. 2nd surrounded by family and love. Tony was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Roger Shewmaker and Susan Murray. He and his sister Courtney were always each other's support team. Growing up Tony had many lifelong friends. He had a way of capturing hearts. Tony was a hard worker and ran his own business, "The Lawnfather". He was a very talented musician and won his wife Terri over by playing his guitar and singing to her with his beautiful voice. He and his daughter Tatiana enjoyed playing and listening to music together. Their bond was strong and being a good dad was very important to him. Tony enjoyed helping coach his stepchildren Kendan and McKenna with the Junior Shooters Club. Tony had a laugh that could make just about anyone smile and a sense of humor to go with it. He loved playing little jokes and teasing everyone in the family.
He is proceeded in death by his Grandparents George Jr. and Joyce Silver, and Keith and Marie Shewmaker.
Tony is survived by his wife Terri Shewmaker, daughter Tatiana Shewmaker, father Roger Shewmaker, mother Susan Murray, sister Courtney Shewmaker, stepchildren Kendan Kirtley and McKenna Kirtley, and nieces Sabryna Schmidt and Naomi Schmidt.
A celebration of Tony's life will be held this spring.
Tony will forever be loved and missed.

I just found out today and am in a bit of shock over this. Tony was one of the good ones. He took care of my lawn but he also was a person I looked forward to seeing twice a year. I'm disabled and I don't get out often. The hours we spent chatting each visit meant a lot to me. We had a lot in common and he loved his family as dearly as I love mine. With Tony, it wasn't just a job when we had him work on our lawn, it was also a social visit for me, knowing there was always lots to fill in between the 6+ months since the last visit. He was someone I always looked forward to having over as I don't really have people that come to visit, I'm so focused on dealing with my own life, my kids, and inability to get out and meet people. My heart is wounded and I am so deeply saddened for his family and the loss to our community.

This is a tragedy for all who loved and admired Tony. He was a sweet soul and really one of the good ones. The world is poorer for his loss.
