Bob Harper Obituary

Robert Glenn Harper
September 25, 1961
June 20, 2015
Robert (Bob) Glenn Harper, 53, of Logan, Utah passed away June 20, 2015 due to a stroke. He was born in Boise, Idaho September 25, 1961 to the late Hugh and Pat Harper. Bob attended Boise schools, graduating from Boise High School in 1980.
Bob is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mickey, and his 4 children, Shandi, Kelby, Melody, and Callie; 4 grandchildren; his brother, Tom Harper of Almo, Idaho; and sister, Scootch Pankonin of Belfast, Maine.
The Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan, Utah has scheduled a viewing Wednesday, June 24 at 6:00 pm and another Thursday, June 25 from 9:30-10:30 am followed by the funeral at 11:00 am.
The three great loves of Bob's life were skateboarding, music, and his family. Bob was skating vertical pools in the 80's and a member of several Boise bands, including H-Hour. He continued to skate and play music his entire life. The most important part of his life was his family. He was always engaged in whatever his family was up to and was a great dad and husband. He will be forever missed by his family and friends.

I remember Bob and H Hour playing at the Crazy Horse in downtown Boise circa 1981 or so. He was great on stage. Epitomized cool during a cool time.

I am incredibly sad for an amazing Dad that didn't quite get to celebrate another Father's Day.
Bob Harper, a man with a huge heart and a genuine smile, passed away in his sleep last night.
A founding member of the Utah Pavement Carvers (UPC), Bob was everyone's favorite person to skate with. Enthusiastic, encouraging and a wealth of knowledge, Bob will be truly missed. He always had time for everyone and created some beautiful homemade decks, lovingly carved from wood. He was an artist both on and off the concrete, a skilled craftsman, and a very fast and gifted slalomer.
I've won World Championships and World Cup trophies, but my most prized trophy is the one that Bob handmade for me, for organizing an 'Outlaw' race (race held without official permission).
Today the World is a little less bright..

A man with a heart the size of idaho. Kind, funny, and always a smile. Always wanted me to come see his new instruments or set up. Always had something funny to say. And I've never heard him speak bad of anybody.
My heart goes out to kelby and bobs family
