Candice Witherel Obituary

Candice Leann Witherel
1/31/1984 ~ 1/27/2017
Candice Leann Witherel was born in Carmichael, California on January 31st, 1984 to Lorna and David Witherel. At the age of six weeks the family moved to Bitburg Air Base Germany. She was so tiny she spent most of the flight in a cardboard bassinet against the bulkhead. And so she started life as a G.I. Kid and travelled Europe for the first 5 years of her life. Returning to Sacramento California with her family in July 1988, she became a friend to everyone, knew everybody and was always busy. She and the family spent a lot of time in Southern California camping near the beach with her Grandparents, which she dearly loved to do. In July,1992 The family moved to Rapid City, South Dakota, where she had many close friends and became fascinated with thunder storms, lightning and tornados. She would sit on the rear deck of her house and stare at the storms for hours, until she was made to come in. She and her sisters "Loved" walking to the corner during snow storms in near "Whiteout Conditions" with windchill factors in the 30 to 40 below zero range. That fun couldn't last forever when her dad retired from the USAF in July 1995 when the family came to Boise, Idaho Where she finished school, loved track and field sports at Meridian High School. She became a Dental Assistant and found her passion as a furniture restorer, which gave her a great deal of pleasure. She is survived by her daughters, Taylor Coopersmith, Makenzi Coopersmith, Braelynn Stevenor, her parents David and Lorna Witherel, Her brothers and sisters, Jason Witherel of Plano Texas, Dean Witherel of Bedford Texas, Calee Gould of Meridian Idaho, Courtney Taylor of Boise Idaho, Patrick Wilson of Colorado Springs Colorado. 1/26/23:

Rest in Peace Candice. I can't believe it has already been six years. Both Katie and I were better for having met you and both wish you were still with us. I have a good feeling that you are now in Heaven watching over all of us and having a true understanding of why things happen. God Bless you and your family

So young and so sad.....

Condolences to Candice's family and children. I only met Candice a few short weeks ago, but she was very nice and you can tell she had been raised right. On a very snowing day when I was out of town she came out of her house to push my sister out who was stuck in the snow. This support to my elderly sister was very much appreciated. Just a short while ago she stopped by the house to borrow some foil as she was in the process of celebrating with her roommate as they both got new jobs and were going to celebrate with some homemade ribs. Said to lose such a young person. Anyway God Bless and may Candice rest in peace and may her family also find peace in their loss.

Your Neighbor,

Nick and Katie
