1978 - 2015
Christopher Michael Leavell, 37, was ushered into the presence of God on October 15, 2015, after a short battle with Melanoma cancer. Christopher had been a pastor for 12 years, 6 of which were in Ashton, Idaho. Christopher was born in Wyoming, and although he lived many places throughout his life, he called Idaho home. He resided in Meridian since moving in July from Phoenix, Arizona.
He was an avid fly fisherman, landscape photographer and most recently oil painter. He loved spending time in God's creation and capturing the beauty on canvas and print.
He is survived by Michelle, his wife of 15 years, their three children: Josie (12), Scott (11), and Colette (9), his parents Monte and Jeneen Leavell of Eagle, brothers: Peter of Meridian, and Joseph from San Tan, Arizona, as well as two grandmothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held at Accent Funeral Home, 1303 N. Main St., Meridian on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM. The funeral will be Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Fellowship Baptist Church, 1824 W. 3rd St., Meridian with burial to follow at the Wilder Cemetery. Remembrances may be left for the family at www.AccentFuneral.com. Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian.
