If everyone could love and accept others the way my friend, Davo, did, this World would be filled with Happiness.
I met Davo the Fall of '85. He loved me as he loved everyone, with full attention and utter devotion to Truth, Acceptance, and Fun.
Thank you, Davo.
To Davo's Family, my sincerest respect and condolences, for you loved and cherished him more than I ever could. How Bright & Colorful he painted your lives, the time he shared with you, and brought such Depth of Beauty, Originality, Love. Thank you for sharing him with us!

Davao was always ready with a smile, a kind word and a hug when you needed it.
I met him when he arrived in Portland and knew him as a bartender at my hangout bar. He was kind, courteous and always ready to make a bad day better.
I always wanted to meet his family, for they gave the world a gift. One that shined bright and intense in his short time here.
When I heard Davao needed a heart transplant, my first thought was "of course he does... he is always giving his away!
The news of his passing was a shock.
My condolences to his family. He will be missed by many, many people.
I am but one....

The love that you so generously shared continues to flow through those you touched and inspired. The memory of your smile and your laughter remains with those of us who delighted in both and helps us as we try to make sense of all this. Dave-O, thank you for all that you gave to everyone you encountered simply by being your brilliant, wonderful self. You are missed so very much.

DavO was the dearest, funniest person I ever had the privilege to know. I met him in high school through choir, and I had so much fun with him later at the Emerald Club. He always had a smile on his face, always making people laugh. A few months ago, I found out through the grapevine that he needed a heart transplant, and we reconnected through Facebook. I feel richer for having known him. He has touched the lives of so many people, and his memory really will live on.

DavO made me laugh. We had so much fun doing shows together at KED. Outside the theatre he was always there, whenever you just needed someone. Somehow...he was just there. He taught me to dance and my heart danced every time I saw him. His sweet, bright spirit will be missed. Love you, DavO.
