Eileen Eide Obituary

Eileen Eide 1952 - 2011 Eileen Eide, 59, of Boise, passed away April 21, 2011 at a local hospital. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Cloverdale Funeral Home, 1200 N. Cloverdale Rd., Boise. A committal service will follow at Dry Creek Cemetery. Eileen was born on March 22, 1952 in Boise, Idaho to Elmer and Elizabeth "Betty" Eide, and was her family's golden-haired girl. She loved to play with her sisters, cousins and friends. When it came time to go to school, friends were her favorite part. She graduated from Borah High School in 1970, and was employed by both St. Luke's and Blue Cross for several years. About four years ago, Eileen went to live at Ashley Manor in Boise, and they became her second family. She loved to color and take long walks. Her favorite hobby was shopping, and she has been known to close down the mall many times. Her shoe collection would rival that of any small store. The best day of her life was the day she gave her life to Jesus. As she peacefully left us, through the eyes of faith we could see her going to be with Him in Heaven. Eileen is survived by her mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Eide; sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen (Bob) Cook, Sonja Lamm, all of Boise, Idaho and Linda (Rich) Schaffer of Parma, Idaho; 13 nieces and nephews and 12 great-nieces and nephews. Eileen was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Eide. To submit memories and condolences to the family, please visit Eileen's memorial webpage online at www.CloverdaleFuneralHome.com.

I also grew up with Eileen. We attended Jr.High, and graduated from Borah together. We have so many memories(too numerous to name) We rode together to all the church functions...whether it be Friday nights(Young People nights)or church on sunday morning and evening as well as charity drives, car washes etc... Rest in peace my friend! and thank you for all the memories and sharing your life with me.

I went through junior high and high school with Eileen. I remember her as a sweet girl with a smile on her face. As I read her obituary, the shoes and the shopping brought a smile to my face, but reading that the best day of her life was when she met Jesus brought a smile to my heart. I look forward to re-connecting with her when I get there also. That too was the best day of my life! I know she is in the best place, but has left a huge hole in each of your lives. Isn't it wonderful that we don't have to grieve as one who has no hope?

I was a classmate of Eileens at Borah High School. My prayers go out to all her friends and family.
Eileen there is now no more pain, no more sorrow, no more tears.

I graduated with Eileen in May 1970 from Borah Senior High School, and presently serve our class as memorial chairman. I was very happy to read that Eileen had accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and that was the happiest day of her life. I myself am a born again Christian and sometime I hope to be walking THE STREETS OF GOLD with Eileen and others and family members that have gone before me. Eileen, please rest that you are now free of pain and suffering and have earned your angelic wings and have also earned your homecoming with the Lord.
