Gary Morris Obituary

Gary Reed Morris, 68, of Meridian, Beloved Father and Grandfather entered into rest January 9, 2010. He was born Nov. 21, 1941, in Safford, Arizona to Reed and Luanna Morris. Gary had three siblings Lynn, Steve and Sherri. Gary was called to serve an LDS Mission Nov. 16, 1960. He spent two years in Alberta, Canada. He was the beloved husband of Sharon Kay Morris, they met at a market in Thatcher, AZ when Gary carried a tiny sack of groceries to her car. Not having got her phone number, Gary followed Sharon the next day to see where she worked, then called her office to ask for a date. After a two week courtship they married in Thatcher on the 20th of April 1976. Gary was a devoted father and hero to his children Crystal, Cindy, Dustin, Natalie and Sean Morris. He was also the dear grandfather of 17. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Friday, Jan. 15 at Relyea Funeral Chapel, 318 North Latah St., Boise and from 9 to 9:45 am, Saturday, Jan. 16 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 2515 W. Ustick Rd. in Meridian. Services will be held at the LDS church at 10 am. Interment will follow at Meridian Cemetery. A humble man, Gary will be remembered by the thousands of lives he touched, for his gentle unassuming manner, his extraordinary talents, and his courage. Our sorrow and loss are as deep as his commitment to live and work as tirelessly as he did. www.relyeafuneralchapel.com
