Glen Scott Obituary

Glen Armond Scott
1932 to 2017
On the morning of January 22, 2017 Glen A. Scott left this world to reunite with his sweetheart and love, Evelyn. This was his greatest desire since losing her 20 months ago. While his family and friends who are left behind will miss his love for people and incredible sense of humor, we all take solace in the knowledge that he is at peace once again.
Glen was born April 27, 1932 in Lyman, Nebraska to John and Ethel Scott. After graduating high school, Glen moved to Boise, Idaho in 1950 to attend Boise Bible College where he met the love of his life, Evelyn Mae Bond. Knowing he had found the person who would ultimately complete him, he took no chance that she might be courted by anyone else and they married on July 21, 1951, less than a year later. They were the example of "and the two shall become one."
Glen and Evelyn were married for nearly 64 years before Evelyn's passing in May 2015. They had five children: Michael (married to Deanna), Steve, Cathy (married to Dru), Kris, and Glen David (married to Angelee). They were also blessed with seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Glen was preceded in death by his loving bride Evelyn, his son Steve, and his great-grandson Glen David III.
Glen was the quintessential master of all trades. He excelled in everything he put his mind and hands to, working in diverse fields such as: Cattleman, Machinist, Floor and Countertop Installer, and Business Owner. He would sometimes talk with pride that he had parts he machined while working in the aerospace industry setting on the Moon. While Glen may have said he never fulfilled his dream of teaching, anyone who had the privilege to spend time with him would argue that he taught us all how to touch peoples' lives in a profound way, love God, love your spouse, laugh, and live with joy in your heart.
Along with his great passion for people, Glen loved to fly his Beachcraft Bonanza (3343 Charlie), with his Sweetheart sitting next to him as his co-pilot and navigator; a metaphor for how they lived their entire lives together, and an example for us all.
Glen will be missed here, but he is reunited with Evelyn and his Lord in Heaven, where he belongs. For that, we celebrate.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday February 4, 2017 at Foothills Christian Church, 9655 W. State St., Boise, Idaho 83714.

Glen and Evelyn took us on our first fishing trip 45 Years ago when we moved to Idaho. We went to sage hen and traveling next to the rushing river was a thrill for us. He taught our son, Brian to lay tile and that skill has made our home nice. My dad went to Boise Bible College with both Glenn and Evelyn (May). Back then. Lots of wonderful memories.
