Hazel Seal Obituary

Hazel L. Seal 1914-2009 Hazel L. Seal, 94, of Nampa, joyfully joined her Heavenly Father, after 94 years on this earth,having passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2009 in Nampa. Hazel lived a long and godly life and was surrounded by loved ones as she passed peacefully. A viewing for family and close friends will be held on Friday, July 24th from 6 - 8 p.m. at Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Ave. So. - Nampa - 466-3545. A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2009 at Lakeview Church of the Nazarene, 608 14th Ave. No. in Nampa. Inurnment will follow at the Kohlerlawn Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be sent to www.alsipfuneralchapel.com. Hazel was born in Flasher, N.D. on Oct. 10, 1914 to Albert and Pearl Russell. Hazel moved to Nampa in 1936 to marry Marlin C. Seal. Together they raised three children, Vern Seal, Billings, Mont., Gary Seal (who preceded her in death) and Donnis Mager, Nampa. Her hobbies and her livelihood were farming, gardening, fishing, spending time with Marlin, her family and her friends. Hazel worked at the Idaho State School and Hospital for 25 years before she retired. She also was a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant for 10 years. Her biggest passion was attending the Snake River Stampede Rodeo. In all the 73 years that she lived in Nampa she never missed a Rodeo. She attended her last Rodeo on opening night of this year. Hazel was a faithful servant of God and it resonated in everything she did. She was an inspiration for others to follow and will be missed tremendously. In her last hours she was filled with overwhelming love and joy to be able to be with her beloved husband and her Heavenly Father. Among those she left behind to rejoice in her life are her son and daughter-in-law, Vern and Cindy Seal; daughter and son-in-law, Donnis and Les Mager; over 30 grandchildren; over 30 great-grandchildren; and over 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marlin C. Seal; sisters, Abigail Russell, Gladys Barstow; her brother, Marvin Russell; her son, Gary Seal and her grandsons, Mickey Seal, LaRell Seal and Bryan Mager. A special thank you goes to the wonderful staff at Grace Memory Care in Nampa. The family of Hazel would like to honor her memory by providing a Memorial Tile to be placed in the Rodeo Room at the Idaho Center and those who wish to contribute to the purchase of that tile may send a contribution to the Nampa Rodeo Club, in memory of Hazel Seal, 217 W. Georgia Ave. Ste. #100, Nampa, Idaho 83686.

I'm so sorry to hear of your Mama's passing, but we know she's happier now as well as pain free. She was a great friend of my parents. You are fortunate to have had her with you this long; I know she'll be greatly missed.
