Iris H. Basta

1943 - 2018

Iris H. Basta, a long time Montana resident, died on April 5, 2018 in Boise, ID of complications from Alzheimer's disease. She was 75 years old. Iris was born February 12, 1943 in Beach, ND to Eleanor Ueckert and Bill Hasselstrom.
Iris was a successful attorney at Jackson Murdo and Grant, PC in Helena. In 1997 Iris became a partner at the law firm until her retirement in 2011.
Iris is survived by her daughter Connie (Paul) Griffin of Boise and son Ron (Danielle) Basta of Milford, NH and three grandchildren: Calvin, Meredith and Lauren. Iris was preceded in death by her father, mother, beloved sister, Karin E. King, and niece, Susan K. King.
Our deep gratitude and thanks are extended to the caring staff at Spring Creek in Boise for taking such excellent care of Iris. She made an impact on those who cared for her even in the short time she was there.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, April 13th from 5 to 7 PM at Plymouth Congregation Church, 400 S. Oakes St. in Helena. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on April 14th at Plymouth Congregational Church. Committal services follow at Forestvale Cemetery.
