James Ware Obituary

James E. Ware
January 19, 1937 - November 13, 2022
Boise, Idaho - James Edman Ware (85) spent his last days with his family by his side. He died on November 13, 2022 from the effects of vascular dementia. He was born in Nampa, Idaho to his parents Allden Edman (Ed) Ware and Ruby Lillian Ware on January 19, 1937.
Jim graduated from Nampa High School in 1955 before pursuing his Bachelor's in Business at the University of Washington in Seattle. His favorite outdoor activities of hunting with family dogs, his dad, uncles and friends, and fishing were not as accessible in Seattle. Jim's love of travel was put on hold.
He married Judy Druxman in July 1959 after graduating with his Bachelor's degree in Business and the promise of a career at Olympic company in Los Angeles while Judy completed her last two years of undergraduate work before becoming a teacher.
They had two children, born in 1963 and 1966.
Jim developed an interest in personnel work and moved to management positions at Transamerica Insurance Company and Allstate Insurance Company. Moves to Salem, Oregon and back to Seattle solidified the family's preference for living in the Northwest.
A new job in an old place called Jim back to his Idaho roots. He spent most of his 20 years at Intermountain Gas Company in Boise as Vice President of Administrative Services and Personnel Director. While there he served as National Chairman of the American Society for Personnel Administration (ASPA). Frequent travel throughout the U.S. and to international conferences was part of the job.
After early retirement from IGC, Jim continued working in the field of Human Resources with Ameriban/IEC and through his adjunct professor work at Boise State University.
Jim is survived by his wife of 63 years, Judy, son Brad (Peggy), daughter Heather (Eddie) Kassman, five grandchildren one great grandson, and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents Allden Edman Ware, Ruby Lillian Ware and sister Barbara Jane Spink.
Special thanks go to Dr. Bruce Belzer of Primary Health and his nurses Christy and Gaye for many years of care.
The family also thanks the loving care-staff at Morning Star at Englefield Green, CornerStone Retired Living and Keystone Hospice.
To honor Jim's wishes, no service will be held. The family celebrates his life at every gathering. Make memorial contributions to your charity of choice.
