Janice McCann Obituary

Janice Kay McCann, 82, returned to God on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 in Missoula, Montana. Janice was born in Cascade, Idaho on January 12, 1943, to Florence Evelyn (Decoursey) and Dorsey Coit Herrick, where she was raised, attended school, and lived until late in life.

She married the love of her life, Richard Irving McCann, in May of 1964. She was a devoted mother to Lecia Kay McCann and Frank J. McCann, and was overjoyed with the arrival of her granddaughter, Cedar Jane McCann in 2007. She and Richard lived on her family's ranch with her parents. She was a devout Christian who cherished the Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ. She was guided by her faith in every aspect of her life. She worked as the church secretary and played the organ in church every Sunday, either solo or accompanied by her mother on piano. Their home was filled with music and laughter.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents Florence and Dorsey and daughter Lecia, and is survived by Richard, Frank and Cedar, who will never forget the love and happiness she brought to their lives.

A private funeral service for her immediate family has already occurred. Donations to your personal place of worship are encouraged.
