John Davis Obituary

John Randolph Davis, 94 of Boise, Idaho, passed away on October 28, 2025 in the same home where he was born. Born on December 6, 1930 to Paul Davis and Gladys Stiles Davis. He married Barbara Jean Baker and was a loving father to James Randolph (Randy) Davis, Pamela Sue (Susan) Mosqueda, and Judy Davis Roberts. He passed away while working on his Model A. He graduated from Boise High School in 1949, attended Boise Jr. College, TVCC and College of Idaho. He served in the Air Force in Okinawa and was proud to be a Korean Veteran. The family lived in Nyssa, Oregon from 1959 to 1975. That's when dad retired from Mountain Bell as a lineman and mom retired from Amalgamated Sugar factory as a Sugar Clerk and moved to Yellow Pine, Idaho. That's where John worked in the gold room at Superior Oil in Stibnite and poured gold into gold bars. John loved racing and all things Ford. He joined partners with Art Sugai, from the Eastside Café in Ontario, Oregon and built the Pink Lady. He raced until the dirt tracks turned to asphalt. When John was home or at his cabin, he could be found in his shop working on one of his numerous car projects. Barbara and John moved backed to Boise in 2015 due to health reasons. John and Barbara are survived by their children, several grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. A private service will be held in December at the Veteran's Cemetery for both John and Barbara.
