John Warning Obituary

John Edwin Warning 1928 - 2011 On September 5, 2011, John Edwin Warning passed away in a Boise hospital as result of complications due to injuries received from a fall. John was born on August 8, 1928 in Van Buren County, Iowa. His parents were Glenn Warning and Blanche (Campbell) Warning. He married Inez Blake on June 1, 1947 in Unionville, Missouri. John and Inez resided in Oskaloosa, Iowa until February of 1948 when they journeyed to New Meadows, Idaho. They lived in New Meadows for over twenty-five years and raised their three daughters, Sharyl, Vickie, and Valerie. John started his career in the logging industry and then took the opportunity to work for Price Valley Lumber Company in the planing mill. John continued his career as a planerman retiring from Ellingson Lumber Company in Baker City, OR in 1991. He received many awards over the years for his outstanding planerman skills. John enjoyed his family and was very proud of each member. The family grew to include eight grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren. John was active in his community by serving on the Meadows Valley school board and holding many offices in the Odd Fellows Lodge including the Noble Grand. John loved the New Meadows area immediately as he became an avid outdoorsman. John hunted elk and fished the many streams and lakes in the surrounding area. After retirement, John and Inez moved to Meridian, Idaho where they lived the remainder of their lives. Inez preceded John in death on September 5th, 2006 after 59 years of marriage. John was also preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, and his brothers. John is survived by his daughters, Sharyl (Bob) Foster, Vickie (Dave) Hamrick, and Valerie (Tom) Novak, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at the Meadows Valley Cemetery on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 1:00 PM MT. Visitation will be held at Heikkila Funeral Chapel in McCall from 9:00 AM MT to 11:00 AM MT. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to any favorite charity.
