Joshua Cornell Obituary

Joshua "Josh" Nathaniel Cornell, 23, of Boise, died on April 30, 2006 from injuries sustained as a result of a motorcycle traffic accident. Josh was born Oct. 5, 1982, in Fairbanks, Alaska. He is survived by his daughter, Madison Rhea Cornell, his brother Steverson "Brock" Cornell, father Frank Joseph Cornell Jr., and mother Rhea Christina "Chris" Butterfield. He is also survived by his step-father Devin Butterfield, step-mother Dedde Ellen Cornell, and step-brothers Zachary "Z" Nikkhooy and Kevin Butterfield and grand parents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, May 4, at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 2206 North Cole Rd., Boise. A reception to celebrate his life will be held in the St. Stephen's Parish Hall immediately following the services. Cremation arrangements have been made through Accent Funeral Home, Meridian. Josh was loved by all who knew him. Children and animals were instantly attracted to him. Josh was free spirited and impish but most of all he was kind, generous, and gentle. Josh had a quick and keen sense of humor which he could use to make anyone smile or laugh at anytime. He had recently overcome great personal hardships to find peace and happiness in his life. Josh was admired by his family and friends for the strength of character he developed as a result of his life trials. He was an inspiration to those around him and above all to anyone with troubles. Josh loved the outdoors, especially fishing and riding his motorcycle. He also loved to tinker with anything mechanical and was always doing something to his car or motorcycle. Josh enjoyed his guitar, and could often be found plunking skillfully at its strings, as well as practicing his adept artistry in doodles. He was a proud employee of Western Trailers and enjoyed working with the people there. Josh's pride and joy was his 2 year old daughter Madison. The bond between them was strong and deep in love. He was a donor of his organs, so that the hope of life could be derived from his tragic and sudden death. Josh was a kindred spirit to all who knew him. He will be missed and loved, always.

I never knew Josh, but I knew his step brother zach. I saw him at school a few days later and saw how much this had affected him. I am extremely and sincerely sorry for your loss. I wish i could say or do something to help but I know that at a time like this there is not much anyone can do to help.

Sincerely,
