Lawrence Wright passed away Monday July 23 , 2018, After a long battle with cancer , with family by his side.
He was born in Seattle Washington on July 18, 1941 to Lawrence and Julia Wright, and is one of 10 siblings. Bob, Sharon, Mary Christina, Julie, Roger, Jeanette, Yvonne, Bruce, and Laurel.
Larry was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Uncle and friend.
He attended school in Rupert Idaho, graduated and joined the Navy. While in the Navy he completed the Guided Missile School and was aboard the USS Columbia.
After the Navy he came back to Idaho and started a family that he loved with all his heart.
He then went on and worked with the family construction business, known as Wright Brother Building company and helped build Many homes barns, buildings as well as a couple of family cabins.
Then started his own general contracting business, and built an Elephant museum at the Portland Oregon zoo, where he met his current wife Deanna.
He was a very hard worker and loved building.
Larry enjoyed reading, horse riding, hunting, sports and time at the cabin with family.
Larry was known and loved for his willingness and readiness to help family and friends when ever they needed a hand.
Larry is survived by his wife and love of his life of 33 years Deanna, his sons: Jeff, Chris, daughters Cheri, Lisa, and step children, Kevin, Cynthia, Tim, Stephanie, Michelle, Liz and Tammy.
He was very much loved by all.
He is proceeded in death by his Father Lawrence, Mother Julia and brother Bruce.
Memorial service will be held Saturday August 18, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Foothills Christian Church, 9655 W. State St. Garden City 83714
