One funny story that comes to mind is when Col. Brewington became the Deputy Commander of Operations at the Idaho Air National Guard. Shortly after taking command he had arrows painted on the pavement to establish how he wanted traffic to enter and exit the squadron parking lot. That afternoon he stayed around and chastised aircrew members who entered the way they had for decades and ignored his new guidance arrows. That evening after he left, Mike-Mike, who had graciously accepted his scolding, procured a roll of duct tape and proceeded to tape arrows on the floor as you entered the squadron building. About every 6' he would placed an arrow going down the entry hall, left toward the command post, left again into Col. Brewington's receptionist's office, around her desk, into Col. Brewington's personal office, around his desk and then placed a big "X" on the seat of his chair.
Mike-Mike kept such a low profile that Brewington never suspected him of doing the deed....wish I could say the same.
I will miss our post retirement lunches.
