Mickey Bess Obituary

Mickey L. Bess, Sr. 1929 - 2011 Mickey L. Bess, Sr. of Emmett, Idaho formerly of Mountain Home passed away on Monday December 5, 2011 of natural causes. Mick was born in Gooding, Idaho on October 26, 1929 to Clarence and Agnes Bess. Mick spent most of his child hood in the Gooding/Picabo area. After high school he moved to Boise where he met Jeanette Moerles and they married on October 22, 1953. He served in the US Army Reserves from 1954 until 1962 and was a lifelong member of American Legion Post 26. He was a very active and a life time member of the Mountain Home Elks Lodge BPOE 2276. He worked many years for Coors distributing and retired as an area manager. He had many wonderful friends and family that he held dear to his heart. His family and friends meant everything to him. Mick is survived by his children Steve (Kathy) Bess of Kamiah, Idaho; Tammy (Jim) Denney of Boise, Idaho. He loved and was very proud of his grandchildren (Jeanette (Doug) Woods of Nampa, Lindsay (James) Penney of Lewiston, and Heather (Mike) Bess also of Lewiston. In addition he had seven great-grand children - Cayla, TJ, Brock, Alicia, Hunter, Hayden, and Leilani. Plus many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Jeanette, his parents Clarence and Agnes and his brother Emery. Graveside services will be held on Saturday December 10, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Dry Creek Cemetery in Boise, Idaho.
