Star, Idaho - Patrick Kevin Woodington (Pat), passed away peacefully on September 14, 2024, surrounded by his family. Pat was born and raised in Meridian, ID, and he graduated from Merdian High School before marrying Cindy, his beloved wife of 40 years. Pat was the proud father of two sons, Jeremy and Matthew, to whom he taught the values of hard work and treating others with kindness and respect. Pat started his career as an apprentice plumber and eventually owned a residential plumbing business for over 25 years. He made countless life-long friends in the construction industry in the Treasure Valley. In the early 1990's he became passionate about thoroughbred horse racing. Pat and Cindy raised many successful racehorses who competed locally at Les Bois Park, in addition to California, Arizona, and Washington races. He enjoyed his years spent on their horse ranch outside of Meridian, where he would spend endless hours working with their horses and caretaking their ranch.

Pat has enjoyed playing cards with his "Poker Buddies" every Friday since his retirement. He was a lifelong Chicago Bears fan. He always supported his two sons in their careers and family lives. Pat would express to anyone who would listen how proud he was of his two sons and their personal and professional accomplishments. He loved spending time with his three grandchildren. Patrick enjoyed working at River Birch Golf Course mowing fairways, where he also loved to golf.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those who want to help, make donations to Patrick's favorite charities, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Boise Rescue Mission.

Our beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather is survived by his loving wife, Cindy; sons, Jeremy (Jordan) and Matthew (Jessyca); grandchildren, Darby, Quinn, and Graham; brother, Bill; and sister, Sheryl.

Just so you know, Dad, we turned the thermostat down!!!
