Peter Perry

Peter G. Perry 1941 ~ 2011 Peter G. Perry died on October 7, 2011 from complications of an aortic dissection. He was born on October 14, l941 in Denver, Colorado. At the age of 10, the family moved to Boise, where he attended Lowell Elementary, North Junior High and graduated from Boise High School in l959. He attended University of Colorado, and after graduating and spending two years in the Navy, he married Kyleene Thompson of Twin Falls, and together they raised two children, Kevin and Karen. He began a long career at various banks in Boise, retiring from Wells Fargo Bank in 2009. Peter never met a stranger—he was interested in everyone and when given a chance, would talk as long as anyone would listen. He loved riding the city bus and spending his mornings at Dawson's Coffee Shop with his friends and working on crossword puzzles. He loved volunteering at St. Michael's and the Diocese of Idaho, and the friendships associated with it. His interests were broad and eclectic, including everything from the Grateful Dead, antique cars, Naval history, and being a lifelong and fervent fan of Colorado Buffaloes football. He was preceded in death by his parents Gerald Perry and Elaine Steere, and is survived by his wife Kyleene Perry, children Kevin Perry and Karen (Eric) Streeby, grandson Flynn Streeby, and sister Penny Simons. Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at St. Michael's Episcopal Cathedral, 8th and State Street, Boise. A reception will follow at the Bishop Tuttle House.
