Meridian, Idaho - Robert 'Bob' Fabello passed away on December 15th, 2022 in Vancouver, Washington. Born on April 13th, 1938 to Frank and Althea Fabello in Scituate, Massachusetts. Bob was raised by his grandfather John Fabello and attended Thompson Island Boys Academy, where Bob learned his work ethic. In addition to a full class load, the boys were required to work a working farm, play at least 1 musical instrument and play in that season's sports. Bob excelled in wrestling, football, and basketball and played virtually every wind instrument. Later in life, Bob became an avid golfer and developed a passion for the game. A lover of the big band and jazz music, Bob instilled his love for work, music, and sports in his children. In addition to Bob's love of sports and music, he also enjoyed backpacking throughout Washington with his wife and kids. He was a voracious reader and the family champion of cribbage and the best macaroni and cheese maker..
Bob enlisted in the Air Force in 1955 and was stationed at Paine Field as a radar technician in Everett, Washington where he met his wife, Jeanette Turk, at a USO dance. Married in 1957, Bob and Jeanette began building their family in Everett, Washington. Shortly after his honorable discharge from the Air Force, Bob began working for the City of Everett water department and then began a long career at the Boeing Company in 1963 as an electronics technician from which he retired in 1999. In 1958, Bob and Jeanette joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. After retirement, they moved from Everett to Meridian, Idaho where they remained active in the Church, serving a full-time mission and as temple ordinance workers.
Bob was preceded in death by four grandchildren and is survived by his wife Jeanette and their nine children and spouses: Tony (Faye) Fabello, Christine (Neil) Hill, Mark (Cheryl) Fabello, Michael (Ronda) Fabello, Elisabeth (Brad) Keck, Sharon (Dan) MacPherson, John (Andrea) Fabello, Alison Fabello and Jennifer (Erik) Madsen, 21 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held for Bob Fabello on January 21, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2555 S. Stoddard Rd; Meridian, Idaho.
