Shari Marz

1972 - 2025

Shari Lanette Marz, age 53, born in Boise, ID on October 17th, 1972, went home to be with the Lord on November 18, 2025, with her life partner Mike Harris at her side. During their 14 years together, they shared a passion for cooking, fishing, camping, and exploring the backcountry, finding places they had never been to. Her family is very appreciative for the unwavering love and care that Mike provided during her last difficult years.

She graduated from Nampa High School in 1991, and spent her last working years in sales for the family's garage door company. She lived most of her life in the Treasure Valley and was an avid fan of the outdoors. Going hunting in the fall with her Pop gave her some of her favorite memories, as a special time she was able to spend with just her and her dad. She had an immensely creative spirit, channeling her creativity in various directions throughout her life, such as painting, crafting, and decorating elaborate cakes. Her heart was full of compassion, and she would give everything she could to people in need (and many stray cats). Her dedication to and love for her family was present until her final breaths. She has touched many lives and though she will be dearly missed, our hearts are comforted knowing she is with the Lord and reunited with her daughter Becca.

She is survived by her son, Sunny, his wife Geraldine, her grandson Nato, her beloved stepdaughter Stevi Taylor, her parents Bud and Judy Marz, her sister Lori Morgan and husband Troy, her brother Rob Marz and wife Jen, her nephews Levi, Nate, and Matt Marz, plenty of extended family, friends, and her two very dear friends Roma Blinn and Karin Lawson. She is predeceased by her daughter Rebecca Aldrich, who died fourteen years ago, a loss she was never fully able to recover from.

There will be no public service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the Boise Rescue Mission.
