Tj Clark Obituary

Taylor Justus (TJ) Clark
1944-2020
TJ, 75, passed away on Tuesday February 18, 2020 of natural causes. TJ was born on September 28th, 1944 in Twin Falls, Idaho and was the only son of A. Taylor and Mary Clinger Clark. When he was two, TJ's family moved to Boise's North End to raise their children therefore he attended Washington Elementary, North Junior High, and Boise High School, graduating in 1962 and moving on to Boise Junior College. TJ married Sharon Lee Baker in 1964 and from this 24-year union had three children; Eric Clark, Missy Noeker (Tom) and Bob Clark (Tami). TJ found his soul mate in Diane D Berry and they married in December of 1989 thus adding to his family three stepchildren; Bron Berry (Lori), John Berry (Kim) and Stephanie Kendall (Justin).
TJ spent most of his career working in advertising for local radio stations where he met numerous lifetime friends which no doubt have some entertaining stories to tell! He changed direction in 1993 when he served as Director of Operations of the Velma V. Morrison Center for the Performing Arts. TJ retired in 2006 but not before he and Frank Heise created a wonderful long-lasting friendship.
TJ had the gift of gab and made everyone feel like a good friend no matter how long he knew you. The number of long-time friends he has are uncountable-you know who you all are and are appreciated.
As well as loving to ride his Harley, hunt and collect guns, TJ spent the better part of 25 years coaching Optimist Football to not only his two sons but his grandson as well. He is a member of the Boise Noon Optimist Club of which he's enjoyed greatly. When it's football season you would find him watching high school games on Friday nights, driving the transportation golf cart from the parking lot to the individual Optimist fields Saturday mornings and all other times watching any game he could see. TJ has always had a passion for football! As stated by his grandson, "If you know our family you might think football is a matter of life or death, but truthfully, it's far more important than that!"
TJ loved his 14 grandchildren greatly and embraced their activities too, from soccer, to ballet, to baseball, basketball, football, lacrosse, cheerleading and even competitive swimming/triathlon. He loved to watch them participate!
Proceeded in death by his parents, a sister and 2 grandsons.
Please join TJ's family for a celebration of his Life reception to be held on Sunday, February 23rd from 11-1pm at Boise Funeral Home Aclesa Chapel located at 8209 Fairview Ave Boise, ID 83704 Ph 208-322-3999

I had the wonderful opportunity to work with TJ at KBOI/KQFC way back! I'll never forget the first day he came to work there and came crawling in on his knees for help with the paperwork of his first media buy! KBOI/KQFC did if different than the previous station he'd worked for! That memory has stayed with me for years and years!
You will be missed kind man! Get heaven ready for the rest of us...we'll see you then!

I'm sorry to hear of TJ's passing. He was always kind, encouraging and as accommodating as possible of my crazy requests when I worked events at the Morrison Center. I have fond memories. He is/was a good person.

Knew and worked with TJ for years. He was a lover of guns, motor cycle riding and liked by everyone. He was a good friend. He loved car racing and sports. Over the years we developed a good friendship. He was always willing to help. I will miss him very much. To his family I am very sorry for your loss. No words can replace someone when they pass on. May God be with you all

What a fun lovin' guy TJ was, from Washington grade school, to North Jr High to Boise High, and BJC. It has been several years since I have seen him because of living 600 miles away, but I remember a lot of good times from way back in the day. Prayers for the family.....Bob Hayes
