Walter Vallard Obituary

Walter C. Vallard, 89 of Mountain Home, passed away at home, Wednesday, March 22, 2006. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, March 28 at 2 p.m. at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel located at 500 No. 18th East, Mountain Home. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Walter was born, Aug. 29, 1916, in Newald, Wis. to Ralph and Mary (Potier) Vallard. He entered the Army Air Force, June 11, 1941, serving until Oct. 17, 1945. While stationed at Mountain Home he married Louise Tucker of Melba on Oct. 6, 1945. He is survived by his wife Louise of Mountain Home, sons Carl of Mountain Home, Paul (Kathy) of Nampa, Tom (Marlena) of Hammett, daughter Caroline (Jerry) Vallard-Thornton of Boise, Joan (Galen) Plumb of Casper, Wyo., brother Frances of St. Maries, 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, one grandson, one great-grandson, both parents, five brothers and five sisters. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.
