Edgar Hensdell Obituary
He was born Feb. 11, 1921 in Independence to the late J. W. Hensdell and Nancy Isom Hensdell.
Surviving are wife, Ila Mae Hensdell of the home; two sons and spouses, Randall and Nancy Hensdell and Eddie and Darlene Hensdell of Independence; three sisters, June Taylor and Hazel Holdaway and husband Jimmy of Independence and Ruth Burnette of Galax; one brother, Jimmy Hensdell and wife Trudy of Tacoma, Wash.; three grandchildren and spouses, two great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held Jan. 18 at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Chapel in Independence.
Rev. Ted Bartlett officiated. Burial was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to Chestnut Hill Cemetery, care of Gale Thornton, 1058 Forest Ridge Road, Independence, VA 24348.
