Irene Farmer Obituary
She is survived by her husband, Frank Farmer of the home; son, Kenny Farmer of the home and friend Mae Belle Adams of Independence; Daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Tommy Delp of Independence; granddaughter and husband, Mikki and Steven Reece; five sisters and three spouses, Ethel Warriner of Richmond, Carrie Lee Joines of Liberty, Ky., Katherine and Leonard Wooten of Independence, Jessie and Sam Halsey of Sparta, N.C., and Vivian and Danny Sanders of Independence; one brother, Gwyn Hash of Roanoke; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held Friday, March 7, at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Chapel in Independence. Rev. Bob Cheeks and Harold Osborne officiated. Interment followed in Saddle Creek Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to Saddle Creek Church, in care of Rev. Bob Cheeks, 492 Twin Oaks Road, Independence, VA 24348, Independence Vol. Fire Dept., P.O. Box 588, Independence, VA 24348, or Independence Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 607, Independence, VA 24.
