Wayne White Obituary
Wayne Allen White was born on April 16, 1954 in Redlands, California, and passed away on September 19, 2025 in Billings, Montana, surrounded by his family. Wayne's treasured early memories were of walking to school through the orchards sneaking pieces of fruit along the way.
When the family moved to Citrus Heights, California, Wayne attended and graduated from San Juan High School. Shop class was his favorite course of study, and he often credited his shop teacher for instilling in him the pursuit of excellence.
He learned mechanics from his father who was a mechanic on fighter jets in the AirForce. Wayne developed a love of all things associated with aviation. He loved flying his model planes and attending air shows.
Wayne found his niche in a variety of carpentry jobs, including commercial buildings and new home construction. In the early 1990s Wayne began construction of custom log homes in the Pony, Montana area. While working there, he met his future wife, C. Kristine Byron. In 1994 he returned to Citrus Heights, California to re-establish his residence.
He joined RAL Construction company's remodel division, quickly established himself within the local industry and people began requesting him to be assigned to their remodels.
The most important things in Wayne's life came in his later years. At the age of 48, he became a father to Tucker White. And, five years later, at the age of 53, he welcomed his second son Tyler White. Both boys were the light of his life, and he was ever so proud of them. Both boys were given his middle name, Allen.
Wayne loved fishing- especially with his boys. In California they fished for bluegill at Folsom Lake. In Montana, they fished for catfish.
Wayne loved gardening and was known for his beautiful and bountiful tomato plants.
Wayne married Catherine Kristine Byron on December 30, 1996, in South Lake Tahoe, California. Despite their divorce in 2013, they remained close friends as they parented their two sons. The family frequently vacationed together after the divorce.
Wayne is survived by his two sons, Tucker Allen White and Tyler Allen White; his sister Gail (Stewart) Brown of Citrus Heights, CA; his sister Sandy Grove of Sacramento; three special nieces and now, great nieces and nephews.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Patricia and Harry White and many close friends.
A celebration of Wayne's life will be held at Rosebud Community Chapel in Rosebud, Montana, on October 25th at 2:00 p.m. Interment will occur later at Hearts at Peace Cemetery on the Crane Ranch at Brusett, Montana.
