ANNIE SUE GIBSON
WESTMINSTER - Annie Sue Bowen Gibson, 95, of 144 Gibson Road, widow of the late A.K. Gibson, Jr., passed away Monday, May 23, 2011 at the Cottingham Hospice House.
A native of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Furman and Kate Romella Bowen. Mrs. Gibson was retired from Milliken where she worked as a Yarn Grader. She was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church, where she was a former choir member and also of the Senior ladies Sunday School class.
Survivors include: sons, Douglas Gibson and wife Lorraine, and Tommy Gibson and wife Gladys all of Westminster; daughters, Peggy Sheriff and husband Cecil, Shelby Ables and husband Lane, and Shirley White and husband Dennis all of Seneca; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: James, Guy, Bill, Elmo, Roy, Harold, and Charles Bowen.
Funeral Services will be held 3 PM, Wednesday, May 25, 2011 from Cross Roads Baptist Church, Seneca. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends 2-3 PM, prior to the Service on Wednesday at the Church. The family is at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her memory may be made to Hospice of the Foothills; Attn: Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC, 29672.
