Betty Marie Bone

Anderson, SC

Betty Marie Bone, age 85, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016, at her home.

Born in Jefferson, GA, she was the daughter of the late James Lamm Bone and the late Susie I. Bone. She retired from Owens Corning- Fiberglas after more than 20 years of service. Betty was a member of the Owens Corning-Fiberglas Ladies Club and Flat Rock Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband Grady L. Bone; two daughters, Angie Clark (Danny), and Sandra Getsinger (Eddie), both of Anderson, SC; step-children, Walter Bone (Juanita) of Summerville, SC, Duke Bone (Lisa) of Moncks Corner, SC, Debra Bone, of Albermarle, NC, and Donna Wiggins (Wiggy), of Bonneau Beach, SC; a sister, Martha Adams; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Marshall Glenn Floyd; four sisters; and one brother.

The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m with Reverend George Harper officiating. Entombment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, prior to the service on Tuesday, from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Patriot Hospice, 54 Bear Drive, Greenville, SC 29605.
