Anderson, SC
Ernest William Campbell (Billy), age 55, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Anderson, SC on February 24, 1961, he was the son of the late Ernest Dewitt Campbell, Jr. and the late Ann Ripley Campbell. Billy worked as a supervisor with Asplundh Tree Expert Company Region 49 for 33 years. He was a charter member of Unity Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Anne Simpson Campbell; a daughter, Breanne Whitney Campbell; sisters, Pat Huff (Tim) of Elberton, GA, Mary Bannister (Wade) of Anderson, SC, and Linda Graham (Ray) of Starr, SC; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest Dewitt Campbell, Sr. and Mary Herron Campbell of Iva, SC, and Rufus and Jennie Ripley of Anderson, SC.
The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverends Tony Smith and Travis Dyar officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home, on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 E. Calhoun St., Anderson, SC 29621.
