Dear Lujack and all of the Orr Family,
My thought and prayers are with you all during such a sad time. I always looked forward to the days Dr. Orr would come in and visit with me at Perpetual. He was a great man whom I looked up to and respected immensely.

April 1st, 1977, I was admitted to Anserson Area Medical center for emergency sugery,,,I don't remember going in to the operating room, but I will never forget the next morning, Dr. Orr walking into my room with his 'pipe' in his mouth, with a cheerful smile saying, 'Good Morning' 'rabbit'',,he was a great man, knew him from that day on and till he retired from the hospital...May God comfort and bless all of you

Lujack and family, Dr. Orr was a unique and special man. He touched everyone in our family. He introduced me to golf at an early age and golf became my lifetime profession. We played a 1000 rounds of golf together, you get to know a person on the golf course. Lujack, your dad was a quality man. I will miss him dearly.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.
God Bless,
Jackie and Claire Seawell & family

Dr. Orr was a special person. To this day, he is the most interesting person I have ever met. The most fun I had on the golf course, was playing with him. We'll all miss him.

To: LuJack and the rest of the family. I am a retired RN who graduated from AMH in the class of 1957. I remember Dr.Orr as one who would always ENCOURAGE and INSTRUCT student nurses instead of putting them down for not knowing how to do a new procedure. We LOVED to operate with him because he was ALWAYS kind and comical. In later years I was to find him to be a "right arm" for me in that my Doctor boss was ill for several weeks and I HAD to have someone I could trust to take care of our patients in his absence. He was a REAL rock for us. His love of golf was ALWAYS there and his way of escape from the stresses of medicine. Then we can't remember him properly if we should leave out that "pipe" that was always in his mouth whether it was lit or not. He was a people person to his patients and that's what endeared him both to them and to nurses. I KNOW you will miss him but ALL of these memories you can keep in your hearts. He's happier now and Jesus can do such a better job of caring for him than even his loving family was capable of doing. So MANY of us loved him in his life time and he KNEW this.
I send my regrets to you family members and my eternal respect for your father.
