Danny Ray Cartee, 56, of 3251 Six and Twenty Road, Pendleton, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at his home.
Danny was born on May 24, 1958 in Anderson, SC.
He enjoyed his work as a construction foreman and retired a year previous to his passing. He was a beloved Father, strong-willed, hard working, and had a deep sense of respect and joy for life. He also enjoyed camping, reading, gardening, and spending time with his son, grandson, nieces, and nephews.
Danny Ray is survived by his son, Chris Cartee and his wife Kathy, of Anderson, SC; his grandchild, Wiley; his mother, Elizabeth Cartee; six siblings, Steve Cartee, Jane Walker, David Cartee, Barry Cartee, Gary Cartee, and April Cartee; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Cartee, in 1989.
Services will be officiated by his cousin, Kenny Owen, at Six and Twenty Baptist Church on Saturday, May 16, 2015. The visitation is at 3:00 in the afternoon, with the funeral and burial following at 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cartee family to assist with expenses, care of Palmetto Mortuary.
