Etrulia Lovelist Dean

Etrulia Lovelist Dean was born May 22, 1928 in Williamston to the late Mr. Luther and Mrs. Donnie Annie Curry Lovelist. She was a member of New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Senior Women's Sunday School. Surviving are daughters, Bettye (Robert) Cannon, Victoria (Tommy) Lewis and Melinda Dean all of Williamston; sons, John Wesley Sloan of Williamston, and Anthony (Shan) Dean of Raleigh, North Carolina; sister, Mollie Adams of Charlotte, NC; brother, Jack Lovelist; 10 grands and 7 great grands; daughter-in-law, Hazel Lovelist of Williamston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester Dean; son, Donnie Lovelist; brothers, Robert Lee, Duffie, and Julius Lovelist; sisters, Inez Broner, and Ruby Nell Lovelist. Services are 2:00p.m., Saturday, January 13, 2007, at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church in Williamston. Burial will follow in the New Prospect Church cemetery. Visitation will be 1:30p.m.-2:00p.m. Saturday before the service. THE UNITY MORTUARY of Williamston is in charge of arrangements.
