JACK METZ ANDERSON- Jack Milton Metz, 82, of 2908 Abbeville Hwy., died Friday, January 23, 2009 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born May 5, 1926 in Anderson, he was the son of the late Walter Magnus and Mary Alberta Bowie Metz. He was retired from Sullivan Hardware. Surviving are his wife, Vada Mae Davis Metz of the home; daughters, Jacquelyn Faye Metz Scharch and her husband, John of Maryland; granddaughters: Tannah Getsinger and her husband, Jimmy of Anderson, Tracey Zelinske and her husband, Paul of Maryland; great grandchildren: Joshua McGuire, Jesse and Jacob Zelinske; brothers: Winford, Bronsil, Jimmy, and Russell Metz all of Iva; sisters: Grace Lawton of Iva, and Martha Faye Greenway of Anderson. He was preceded in death by brothers: Walter, Evans, Woodrow, and Winston Metz and sisters: Mary Alexander and Baker Metz. Funeral services will be held at 3:30PM Sunday at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel with Rev. Perry Wooten officiating. Burial will be in New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3:30 PM, Sunday prior to the service. The family is at the residence.
