Lillian Beatrice Lay Kelley

Walhalla, SC

Lillian Beatrice Lay Kelley, 92, wife of the late Joseph Edward Kelley, formerly of 702 S. Catherine Street, Walhalla, SC, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at GHS Cottingham Hospice House.

A native of Oconee County, Mrs. Kelley was the daughter of the late Jesse Rose and Ola Crane Lay. She was a retired seamstress and a member of Coneross Church of God.

Mrs. Kelley is survived by her sons: Rev. James Edward Kelley of Greenville,SC, and Robert Stanley Kelley of Walhalla, SC; daughter: Betty Jo Kelley Vaughn; brothers: Mason Laye, Rufus Laye and Verner Laye; sisters: Marion Pearson, Dorothy Poore, Sarah White and Ruth Stegall; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Kelley is preceded in death by brothers: Ray Laye, Christopher Laye and Clyde Laye; sisters: Margaret Laye, Pauline Murphy, Margie Phillips, Ruby Dills and Carolyn Heaton; and granddaughter: Beverly Kay Kelley.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 30, 2015, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 AM, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home.

Flowers are accepted.

The family is at their respective homes.
