Ralph Kesler Obituary
Anderson, SC
Ralph Meadow Kesler, husband of Annette Kesler, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 22, 2017, at the Rainey Hospice House after a brief battle with brain cancer.
Born October 8, 1934, in Salisbury, NC, he was the son of the late Ralph Meadow Kesler, Sr. and the late Lily Coggins Kesler. He served in the U.S. Army for two years as a medic. He was a graduate of Spartanburg High School and Spartanburg Junior College and attended Wofford College.
Ralph began his career with C&S Bank in Spartanburg and was transferred to the Anderson office in 1966. He later was the Bursar at Clemson University for 23 years until his retirement. He was an active and devoted member of Boulevard Baptist Church and served as an usher for several years.
Ralph was an avid golfer, playing several times a week with his golfing buddies. He could "shoot his age" and finally had his much longed for "hole-in-one".
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Annette Hodge Kesler and four devoted children; Jill Kesler Burroughs, Bruce C. Kesler (Andrea), Allison Kesler Stoddard (Keith) and Phillip R. Kesler (Michele). He had nine grandchildren: Sam Burroughs, Adam Kesler, Jacob Kesler, Katie Kesler, Freeman Stoddard, Paul Stoddard, Sarah Kesler, James Kesler, and Michael Kesler. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Dollie Moose.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, at Sullivan-King Mortuary. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, at Boulevard Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Johnny F. McKinney.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Building Fund at Boulevard Baptist Church, 700 Boulevard, Anderson, SC 29621 or Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.

To me as to many great people I got to meet when I was in Clemson, Mister KESLER was a good man.
Idem for all the members of his beautiful family: his wife, his children, etc..
I feel sad to realize he won't be there, close to his relatives, any more.
But I feel comforted to realize he's close to God now.
Annette, Allison et les autres de sa famille, je suis proche de vous par la pensée et la prière, sûr que désormais il repose dans la Paix du Christ.

Ralph was a long-time, respected member of our golf group, The Foothills Senior Golf Association. Golf was a perfect game for Ralph. Golf is a competition based on honesty and integrity and Ralph lived those values. Our sincere condolences to Annette and family.
