Anderson, SC

Ray Wingerter, age 86, of 1928 Middleton Road, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2016, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Brown, OH, on February 22, 1930, he was a son of the late Harry Wingerter and Emma Utterbock Wingerter. Ray was an auctioneer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Cook Wingerter, to whom he was married to for more than 60 years. Love at first sight, together in the beginning, together in the end, together forever. They were mother and father to 12 children, Judy Marie Myers, Gary Lee Wingerter, Gail Lynn Wingerter, Karen Elaine Clark, Terry Alan Wingerter, Dennis Dee Wingerter, Shirley Jean Wingerter, Lindsay Ray Finis Wingerter, Patrick Joseph Wingerter, Jan Wingerter, Timmy Wingerter, and J. Robin Wingerter; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2016 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Reverend Dwight Greene officiating.

The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
