I was looking for my mother's obit when I found someone with my last name, Burris. I was born in Kannapolis in 1938. Just wondering if Chris was any kin. My dad's name was Avis William Burris. So sorry for your loss and I send my prayers to the family and loved ones of Chris. Lance Monroe Burris

This is very sad to here, Chris and i shared some great times together during our younger days,We played baseball together, and socialized. He was a great friend even though we didn't see each other much, never forget the good times of playing ball together. One thing that always sticks in the mind is when coach Jacobs nicknamed him sticky,he was a hell of a pitcher, man he could throw smoke right by you.I always called him wild man, that he was, he surely will be missed love you brother see you on the other side RIP.
